Jessie Andrews Through The Years

Jessie Andrews – August 2nd 2013 – Sisu Resort – Dallas, TX

Even if you don’t know who Jessie Andrews is, you’ve probably seen her in a few places and just didn’t know her name. That always happens when I mention her and people ask who that is, I show them a picture and they do that familar “Ooooh, yeah, the American Apparel girl”.

If you’ve ever shopped at one of their locations or seen their ads on the back of any New Times major weekly in any major city, you’ve seen Miss Andrews. She’s also been performing in pornographic films since 2010 and tons of other major modeling gigs. This year she’s really worked hard to raise her profile – she has her own jewelry line Bagitiba, posed for Penthouse back in June, and has really been making a name for herself as a DJ/Producer.
Now, if your rolling your eyes right now, trust me, normally I would be right there with you as the model/porn star turned DJ thing is so super played out as if she didn’t already have enough legitimacy problems. However, Jessie is the real deal – I did a pair of gigs with her in Austin this year, one at SXSW and then a festival in the Spring and I was really impressed. She even released a pair of tracks this year that she co-produced that I really enjoy especially You Won’t Forget Tonight, not to mention how devastating she looks in the video.
That and I was just really taken with her whole presentation: She’s ambitious, she doesn’t drink or do drugs and was one of the most geninuely nice persons I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Enough to make me a believer, a fan even – so I’m gonna forgive her (or her booking agent) for playing this establishment Sisu we are about to have a good ol’ time making tons of fun of.

Ok Sisu, I’ve actually been wanting to check this place out because I know that it’s so completely out of my demographic (& I love that) & also because I know I’m going to enjoy witnessing firsthand the worst that Dallas has to offer in terms of furthering its “bunch of rich fucks” image.
Think Rich Kids of Beverly Hills at a spa resort located in the gayborhood that attracts the bottle service crowd that wear heels with their bikinis & do that hand-on-hip thing in every picture & their equally douchey male counterparts. That’s not to say that they aren’t fun to look at –

I’m sure she doesn’t know Dallas enough to have hand picked this place, I’m sure it was just something that her booking agent found. She’s been taking this gig literally all over the world – using her status as a high-profile model in the fashion world and a tastemaker in many others to do major tours and festivals. She’s even been to Australia twice this year. Now for the downside – she did once date an insufferable trust-fund douchebag who goes by the name Borgore (if you’ve never heard the song Decisions, which is about Jessie, consider yourself lucky, it’s the worst thing ever) and I’ve become such a fan of hers that I guess I just don’t wanna believe that this is her peer group. However, I’m still big fan of fun, and that’s what we ALL we’re having today –

Sasha Grey Through The Years

Sasha Grey – Interview & launch party for her book Neu Sex – Housing Works Bookstore – March 28th 2011 –
New York, NY

This was an event I was greatly anticipating – Sasha Grey is the hottest woman alive in my opinion and one of the most interesting as well, in a myriad of ways. Feminist/Photographer/Actress/DJ/Musician/Ex-Porn Star and now author, tonight she was making a signing/interview appearance at Housing Works in NYC. One of my favorite bookstores in the city, Housing Works is a community healing project that battles AIDS/HIV and homelessness. Sasha donated all the books they sold to help support the amazing work they do.

I was first exposed to Sasha a few years ago in the video for the Roots’ Birthday Girl– I knew absolutely nothing about her other than she was this incredibly hot woman in a video for one of my favorite bands. A closer look of course revealed a whole lot more.
She is a fascinating unique persona with her own set of contradictions. Highly intellectual, she’s stated that she entered the adult industry willingly in an attempt to explore her own sexuality.

The Interview:

The presentation began with her being interviewed by Pitchfork alumni Brandon Stosuy, someone she sometimes collaborates with on other projects:

She talked about embracing female sexuality and working with Steven Soderburgh, on the film The Girlfriend Experience She did her best to steer the conversation toward her transition out of adult film and into mainstream acting. When asked about her decision to start doing porn, she talked about growing up in an environment that made her uncomfortable with her sexuality.

“Women are constantly told to be sexy, but never sexual.”

There were parts of her speech that seemed transparent

”Using my body as a canvas, as the tool is the most important thing, when I first got into the adult industry, I decided to take my photography much more seriously. I started taking a camera with me to capture my experiences on set, so it was a moment in time, a memory for myself—not the video that would be seen by thousands of people”

For the most part, she was well-spoken and confident. During audience questions she graciously accepted a barrage of creepy and pathetic praises one overweight bald man slung at her:

“You’re so courageous. Look at all the brunettes in here. Look at all the black, I’ll wear black until they find something darker.”
“How do I tell my 39-year old son I’m a Sasha junkie?”

Everyone but her totally fucking cringed – her response? –

“Anytime’s a good time, my good man!”

Later in the evening I was asked to participate in a video journal for the Daily along with Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson (The Roots) (how’s that for full-circle, not to mention I’m a huge fan…sidenote: I guess I’m not famous enough as they didn’t use my footage in the finished product) and I heard Sasha tell Questo that that dude comes to all of her events on the East Coast so she’s dealt with him before that’s why she seemed so unfazed about it.

The Signing

The thing that intrigued me so much was there was as many woman there as men if not more. The thing I kept hearing from them was that Sasha was somehow their first girl-crush and the inspiration to explore their own sexuality she provides. Others were there because Sasha is kinda the it-girl of the moment and also becoming influential in the fashion world as well as noticed by all the hipster fashionitas in line. It looked more like an American Apparel ad then a seedy porn event (which admittedly I had feared it had potential to become). All this talk about cross-over is no longer talk, its actually real.

One of the things Sasha and I spoke about is that she’s also a musician. Her band Atelecine has yet to play a show, but released a great 7″ last year A Vigilant Carpark (think Salem or Merzbow). She asked me if I had the new 12″, and in order to answer honestly. I had to mention something, that in hindsight I probably shouldn’t have. See, I pre-ordered that record a long 13 months ago from its makeshift label/distributor Pendu Sound in Brooklyn. It was supposed to arrive in May 2010 – I get an email saying its been pushed to November 2010. Though I saw reviews of it announcing its release, here it was March 2011, and I still hadn’t received it.
I mentioned that I ordered it and she asked me what I thought and I told her that I never received it.
Poor girl is here to do a book signing, this isn’t the fucking complaint department for Pendu Sound, why did I even fucking mention it? – But she was gracious, asked me if I had a card and wrote a note to herself on the back of it and said she wanted to ensure I got what I ordered. (She even followed thru with me via Twitter a few weeks later….which was insanely awesome and so great of her…but for the sake of the story…I still never received my record).

 The Book

An interesting concept in theory, a porn star choosing to document her experiences living as a character in a fantasy world of sexuality. Or, that is to say, Marina Ann Hantzis (Sasha’s real name) documenting Sasha Grey.
Pornography by and large is a lowest common denominator industry. The scenes that Sasha filmed for a porn movie would ultimately be edited by someone else who would, in turn, project their opinions on what is erotic or sexy based most likely on what would sell the most units. Leaving Sasha’s goal of personal exploration a singular journey that none of us could ever hope to join.

So as I mentioned, in theory, a photo diary of Sasha’s experiences within that world could prove to be a very interesting perspective. Captured and edited by her own hand, snapshots of moments that allow the viewer to estimate and empathize with the moment.

However, Neu Sex never truly feels intimate. As a book of photos by a creative, mysterious and interesting persona it succeeds. But as an intimate glimpse into that world, I’m not sure it succeeds. The photos feel self-aware which wouldn’t be a bad thing if there were images that also contrasted that ever-persistent awareness

Sasha Grey (DJ set) – Lizard Lounge – August 14th 2011- Dallas, TX

Ok so the next night was something that I was greatly anticipating. Erin had been wanting to see me DJ but I didn’t dare tell her about this gig because her jealousy would have compromised the event for me and I wasn’t going to risk that after practically begging the owner of the Lizard Lounge to let me do this gig with one of the hottest and most amazing women in the history of the world.

She’s an actress, writer, photographer, musician and former adult film star. Sasha Grey made her Hollywood breakthrough performance as the star of Steven Soderbergh’s 2009 motion picture The Girlfriend Experience.  Sasha has continued to solidify her talents through various mainstream acting roles. At The New Museum in New York city, she took on the character of “Molly Millions” for a stage performance of Brody Condon’s Case, a reading of William Gibson’s Neuromancer. She also guest starred as herself on Entourage as my dude Adrien Grenier’s girlfriend.

Musically, Sasha has contributed vocals on albums for Current 93 and Lee “Scratch” Perry. Her band, aTelecine, released A Vigilant Car Park in 2009 and is releasing a second full-length album this Fall. Sasha’s photography book Neu Sex released came out last year.

I had met her twice before, once at an informal gathering at a club while hanging with Adrian and Ari in Los Angeles, and the second time at the book release for Neu Sex earlier this year at Housing Works in NYC. Both times, she was amazingly cool and radiant beyond words.
She’s as smart as you have heard and at 22, I was amazed at her knowledge of soul music. Both times I was successful in making her laugh considerably so I can check that one off the list.

Still we don’t really know each other and when I heard that she was doing a DJ tour I thought “I have to do a gig with her!” – I knew it would be virtually impossible in LA or NYC so when I heard that we were gonna be in Dallas at the same time, I jumped on it and got the gig.

Just like last time, we had an easy rapport and got along great. I’ve heard people say they think of her as icy but in my experience she was always fun and eager to laugh – and do I even need to say anything about impossibly attractive she is?

Photos –Roy Turner

She’s also a really good DJ, and is into some really cool stuff. She likes alot of German industrial stuff like Einstuerzende Neubauten and Kraftwerk and really weird goth art-school shit like Genesis P Orridge and Brion Gysin, but her mix was creative and inspired and I liked it alot. You can listen to some of it right here
There were a few dudes standing around that had no interest in dancing and perhaps this was their first time seeing the insides of a dance club but were here to gawk at Sasha, but just like at the book release party, their were so many girls here that love and admire her.

DJ’n with Sasha Grey – January 28th 2012 – McFadden’s – Addison, TX

So lightening struck twice for me as I got to do a DJ gig with Sasha Grey back in August and now I was getting the chance to do it again. I expected her last time to be super icy and all diva’d out but she was just the opposite. Totally cool, eager to laugh and I really enjoyed the gig. Not to mention, she was nothing but the epitome of perfection in terms of the way she looked and carried herself.  I knew nothing of this place as this was their Grand Opening weekend and Sasha’s appearance was just that of a promotional tool. This will not be the only time I will use to word tool to describe this establishment or its staff.
In this case however, Sasha is just another celebrity making a decent amount of money “hosting” parties
around the country by “DJ’n” and saying a few words.
In this capacity this puts her closer to a Real World cast member than say DJ Shadow
and quite frankly the whole thing seemed below her or at least in terms of the level of esteem that I hold for her.
For someone who’s stage name is a cross between the singer of KMFDM and The Pictures of Dorian Grey and in an high-brow art band and is lauded just as much for her taste/intelligence as her looks, this place couldn’t be any further from those aspirations. This was frat-house city, the latest breast-araunt and its patrons don’t give a shit or are even aware of art-house Sasha, they were there to get a glimpse of the old porn star Sasha.

This was nothing more than a paycheck for her and you really can’t blame her – However she had to know what she was getting herself into and what people were there for and the kind of bar (not museum) that would want her to “host”. Maybe she’s just playing the celebrity game and she’s just learning? I had to believe that this place was as much of a turn-off to her as it was for me. If it was she never wavered, but the look on her face as we were having a drink with the scumbag manager was not one of excitement but yet one of perseverance.

I did my set first, a basic set of fun party themes, than this other guy did a set of really bad auto-tune singers with house music and then scumbag manager that was never not at her side was trying to impress her with his “DJ” skills that she cordially laughed at his stupid jokes and held it together. She then got on the mic and said a few things, it was like the goth girl in art class introducing the nominees for Homecoming Queen, an odd contrast.
As you can see this place is just a notch below a strip-club – and the crowd was of the Ed Hardy douchebag wet-tshirt contest variety. Girls were smoking hot but this was not my scene at all and it wasn’t hers either, she was just there for a paycheck. I was glad I had to chance to talk with Sasha even more this time and she was totally awesome as before. Still it was a little disappointing to see someone who has cultivated a passionate following for being so unique and powerful to stoop to shit like this to make money.

All in all, a really fun night and I was happy to get the gig and laugh and joke and talk music with someone that I admire.

Inside AVN Expo 2020 & Awards Show

AVN 2020- Scenes from the largest Adult Industry Expo in the world

The 4 day AVN Expo leading up to the big night is a hotbed of networking activity, but also a super fun & often times surreal environment & the best of those terms possible.
Imagine a convention trade floor with several rooms filled with some of the most desirable women on the planet in outfits that would never see the light of day outside the Hard Rock Hotel on a mid-day afternoon.
It’s bustling with corporate ambition & fervor while at the same time there are rows of cams girls the entire length of the main hallway performing for a world wide audience, there is truly nothing else like it.

However, this time besides my annual DJ residency, I was in town filming for my upcoming documentary on King’s X.  I arrived on Wednesday, the first day of the expo but didn’t make it over there till Thursday.

Forgive me for beginning with negativity as we really did have fun, but by all means this is most likely my last year.
Here’s why: In over 5 years we as an outlet & social entity despite our best efforts/intentions have just not been able to penetrate this industry to a respectable level that makes it worth our time to be here. If you worked at something for 5 years & are in no higher position as the day you started you either resign yourself to mediocrity or you stop wasting your time. Our press passes are basically a free ticket to the expo that any fan can buy & nothing more. We are not invited to cover the awards or even the red carpet or to participate in any of the pre-show coverage. We are given a pass to the expo & then forgotten about. Socially we haven’t been able to ssecure invitations to where the real action is (as in any industry) or to any parties fort that matter. No sister outlet to distribute our coverage. While we enjoy the people we meet & the performers we interview who are gracious to appear on our program, it’s not enough, until we are extended the respect we’ve earned and given a true purpose to be here, we will not be back.

Now normally this is broken down over 2 to 3 posts + the awards coverage – However this year, this will be the only post but we will pack it all in.

Here it is: The Final Year of AVN at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

Newest Starlets
Cam Girl Takeover
Girls of the Expo
Most Popular Performers

Newest Starlets –

For me personally, the most enjoyable part of the Expo is being introduced to all of the newest starlets. I come from a DIY/Punk Rock background so I’m always gonna be supporting & cheering on the underdog or the newest person on the team in any industry. That’s not to say that my support wains after they’ve become more established but it’s so enjoyable to meet someone that is here for the first time & see feel their excitement & expectation.

We will also include starlets where it may not be necessary their first time to AVN but they are in fact new to me:

Athena

Loved meeting Athena, who has one of the most infectious personalities & a real passion for the industry. She is a bright, bubbly & super sexy bottle of joy that will bless any filmmakers set in the year to come.

Sky Pierce

An absolute star – Not a star in the making, though she is brand new, but when you see someone with star quality you know it & Sky has that in spades & then some.

 Leah Winters

An outstanding newcomer destined for great things – And possibly the greatest business card I’ve ever received. Most just have a pic of the performer & social media links. Leah’s has a fun bio that reads: “I love sucking cocks, making money and smoking weed. Follow me to the sweetest hell”. We believe her and would follow her anywhere.

Kiaara Kai

Zerella Skies
& Gia Derza

Enjoyed meeting both of these performers. Gia is super popular & was nominated last year for Best New Starlet. Zerella is gorgeous new face on the scene & both were some of my fave people we spoke to all week.

Blue Dream

The one performer that stole our hearts & in our opinion WON AVN is the appropriately named Blue Dream. You’ve never seen perfection like this, if we had a chance at Weird Science, this is the girl we’d create. The most charming, irristible, & dead sexy performer we met all week (& possibly ever).

Cam Girl Takeover

When you enter the Expo the first thing you see is a long MFC footprint with cam models performing in front of their laptops lives streaming from their channel in real time. So let’s say for example you’ve only heard about camming or simply seen an ad online or always wondered what it looked like in person perhaps & then suddenly it’s in your face for real en masse. It’s intense & useless to resist. They have taken over.

Phoenix Love

I have seen PTL (I call her Praise The Lord) online a bunch & was surprised at how genuinely starstruck I was when I saw her in the hallway. In person, she’s exponentially more gorgeous than you could imagine.

I knew she was here as I saw her posting. Apparently there is a musician in attendance this year that is outside my age demographic for me to have heard of or care about that all the female performers seemed to be shitting themselves over. I had to check this dude’s band out Atilla – I didn’t get it at all, but again I’m not really supposed to. Phoenix however, we get entirely.

Lana Del Bae
& Leana Lovings

Together their names sound like a buddy cop movie I’d watch – In person you would watch anything they do. Leana looks JUST look my first girlfriend so that was cool & she was super nice. Lana has such an incredible look and some of the best art work on her impossibly perfect body I’ve ever seen.

Yoga Kitty
& Fiona The Fox

Selerah

Right in front of where I was DJ’n this super cute cam girl came out from behind her laptop & decided to put on an impromptu & get paid in actual cash (until secruity put a stop to it). Damn the man.

Medusa Banks

Initially I mistook her & her boyfriend as fans (which in fact I was hoping they were as I wanted to get a few quotes from a few civilians to ask what they thought of this year’s Expo. I love when the female fans show their true love of the industry almost in the same way cosplayers do by being able to maybe wear something quite daring they’ve been dying to show off & now have the format to do so. To me that’s the real deal. This was that, but she’s also a budding cam girl.

Emily Bloom
& Audrey Madison

Emily Bloom is the top Cam Girl in the game. Just to show you how cammers have such a presence here, Emily was not only the co-presenter at the Awards this year, they’ve also included a category of Fave Cam Girl (which she also won). You gotta love a job that may often call on you to ask a co-worker to spank you for a stranger’s delight (& they happily oblige).

Expo Floor

Once your off the two main hall ways, their are three large rooms to enter & a two story main room, The Joint that is normally a live music venue.

Megan Marx
& Rocky Emerson

We interviewed Megan last year & it was great to see her again. She has grown so popular in just a year’s time (to the surprise of no one). Megan star is only going to continue to rise & deservedly so.

Rocky & I did a series of phone interviews over the Summer for one of my fave episodes ever, I know that she was busy & having to deal with people all day for a week but I have to say I was super looking forward to picking up where we left off, this time in person & was sure she would be excited as well based on how fun the episode was to do but she was completely indifferent. Maybe if I ran into her in a different capacity, things would have been different. It’s cool Rocky, we still love you. Here are links to both interviews:

Megan –youtube.com/watch?v=rPIfp8VHB1Q
Rocky – tinyurl.com/qrfhpjd

Kendra Cole
& Kimber Veils

Two of my faves over the years, Kendra just seems like a lovable train wreck & Kimber just might be the hottest girl alive (until she starts talking about politics haha).

Most Popular Girls

Rebel Lynn

Our cover girl almost every year we’ve covered this event and below you can see why. If their is ever anyone that fits the description of The Real Deal it’s Rebel. There is no need for any suspension of disbelief, Rebel enjoys her job more than any performer I’ve ever met. We are all better for it.

Ora Young

Vina Sky

The one performer I was looking forward to meeting & hoping to chat with the most is the impossibly perfect Vina Sky (who belive it or not, looks ALOT like my wife). She was super kind and she is a super star.

Kenzie Reeves

So I saved my fave girl for last – Kenzie is a magical being & to be near her is to be under her spell. My fave moment in all 5 years of covering this event came last year with Miss Reeves and watch THIS & you can see why (sorry for the sound) – The greatest to ever do it in my opinion.

Morbid Habits

Kawaii! Enter BabyMetal’s Galaxy, Band-Maid’s World Domination hits the States & More (Sept/2019)

Stuff

BabyMetal – September 24th – Southside Ballroom – Dallas, TX

Ok, so spare me your purist romanticisms about what is & isn’t Metal. And besides having the word Metal in their title & backup band that plays heavy & fast riffs, BabyMetal isn’t even trying to come for you Eddie Trunk loving idiots, clutching to your older brother’s 8-Track copy of Paranoid.

When I read about BabyMetal, it’s always the same narrative & it’s so boring, even when they are “defending” the band. Or have this “Can you believe how unique this is?” thing that makes them feel edgy in saying so. Save it, BabyMetal doesn’t need you to come to their defense, they are doing just fine all by themselves. And that’s what you never hear anyone mention – Is it really this lost on those that report on such things that those that patronize BabyMetal concerts from the so-called traditional world are driven by a meek curiosity that is rooted in the fact they are cute females. If these were all dudes, this would be called a boy band and their would be no debate and simply dismissed. Once again, the power of a group of strong females is so threatening to a genre largely dominated by white (& mostly unfuckable) males.

The actual BabyMetal crowd, that buy their albums & come to the shows and sing all the words? It’s not the Slayer crowd, it’s not even the Metal crowd.
It’s the Anime (the rebellious & kinky parts) meets the EDM crowd. Young, intelligent people that wanna party and get weird and the fact that the band has an agression to it, just makes it more appealing. It’s bombastic with a crazy idealology, their cute & entertaining as hell. What’s not to like?

The concept is fun & totally out there:  Made up of three young women who dress in kawaii, or cute, schoolgirl outfits. But they don’t play instruments — they sing, dance and make movements in front of a set of older musicians who are often shrouded in darkness behind them.

The sound, raw & infectious, contrasted by the soft voices of:

Suzuka “Su-metal” Nakamoto, 21
Moa “Moametal” Kikuchi, 20
& touring member Kano Fujihira,20

One of three girls along with Riho Sayashi & Momoko Okazaki currently rotating in Yui Metal’s place (who took a hiatus last year due to health issues) who are known as the “Avengers” – Fun right?

And they sing about things like wanting chocolate & have over 100 million views on YouTube. The band toured with Lady Gaga in 2014, and its second album, Metal Resistance debuted at No. 39 on the Billboard charts in the United States in 2016.

Babymetal’s entire aesthetic does what it’s supposed to, which is surprise. Few would think to put the delicate sound of teen girls singing with brash and thrashing guitars and drums together, but one talent agency, Amuse, did in 2010. Babymetal doesn’t shy away from the fact that they came together not because of Su-metal or Maometal’s love for the genre, but for their desire to get into the heavily orchestrated Japanese pop world. In Japan, there are several talent agencies that will audition young women and men to be a part of a concept group (the most famous of these types of groups is BTS from South Korea).

So what Babymetal is manufactured, the shows are intense & super fun. I saw them last year & while the production was much more conceptualized, this time it was a bit sparse & to it’s credit, charming. Just a bare stage with the three of them doing their thing with the band tucked away in the back.

One thing that brings everyone together are the lyrics. Even if the people singing don’t know the Japanese words, they still sing along.

Go to their shows, they are fun, you will have a good time and that’s all that matters.

Band-Maid – September 28th – The Cambridge Room – Dallas, TX

This will take some unpacking – Besides also being young females from Japan presenting a heavy & agressive sound contrasted with a Kawaii or cute style, that’s where the comparisons to the above BabyMetal end.
Band-Maid combines a rock sound with a maid image modeled on Japanese maid cafés & they write all their own material and play their own instruments and have much more of a band vibe.

Now I was completely unaware of this as less than a week before the show, I was completely unfamiliar with them. Live Nation extended an invite to come shoot the show & I had just seen BabyMetal a few days before and was expecting a bit more of the same. Or if not, during my SXSW days, the highlight every year was Japan Night where you could see something completely different and alot of times never again. I was fine with either, & intrigued and was looking forward to the show.

However, I was pulling double duty with a film screening earlier in the evening & based on experience I had them pegged as going on around 915pm.
I hauled ass to get there and after parking and getting to Will Call & through security I was expecting to waltz in, get a good spot up front to shoot and enjoy the show. Instead, I learned that the opener had bailed for whatever reason (if there in fact was ever one) and instead the band decided to go on at 8pm and I was now over an hour late. That was just the beginning of the derailment of what I was expecting as laid back evening. Once I entered anticipating a sparse crowd, to discover a downright fire hazzard. Seriously this room’s capacity is 250 & it felt more like 500 were in here. You couldn’t move, you couldn’t see (their is no photo pit & I was waaaay past the first three song limit).

Hoping to at least see a song or two and feeling like I’d blown it, instead they proceeded to play almost an entire additional hour and I saw about a dozen songs, more than I was expecting had I seen the entire show. These badasses said “Fuck the opener” and played for two hours straight!

And they kicked ass! It was guitarist Kanami Tōno’s Birthday and the crowd was so white-hot for every word. How did I not anything about any of this? I learned later just how lucky I was to even be there as tickets apparently sold out in minutes and in doing research for this article, I learned people had traveled from all over as besides a couple of one-offs in California, they’d never toured the States before and Dallas was one of only 3 cities they were playing. So what started as an innocent curiosity became finding myself at one of the hottest & most anticipated shows of the year anywhere. And it delivered.
